Mining Museum in Mayrau Vinařice

Near Kladno, in the village Vinařice, is the Mayrau ancient mine, which was founded in the 19th century. Only recently has it been transformed from a functioning mining unit to an extensive museum. We can see how hard the life of miners was and view a large number of sophisticated machines that were lowered hundreds of meters underground to help the miners. The excursion includes a tour of the mine tunnels in addition to seeing the artificial training ground for rescue teams that is still used today.
